MARK BARRETT, PHOTOGRAPHER
Joyce Christian, of Calhoun LA, has invited photographer Mark Barrett to her farm to take photographs of her Gypsy Vanners. Please contact her if you are interested in having him take photos of your horse(s). She also indicated that if enough people were interested, a central location could be arranged for all to meet, which could result in a discount on the session. If interested in either of these options, please contact her at 318-801-9554.
!!! OFFICERS NEEDED FOR NEXT YEAR !!!
Please consider volunteering for the President or Treasurer officer position beginning next year!!! We will be in need of those officers since Ted and Lori will be stepping down at the end of the year. We do not want to see the group disbanded and the shows shut down for lack of officers!! Please contact Ted or Lori for more details and information. Thanks for considering these positions, or feel free to suggest anyone who might be interested!
Clarification on Friday night trail classes. These will run as an open card. Any rider in any trail class can show between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. plus. Check in with show management and the gate between 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. You must check in at the gate by 8 p.m., preferably 7:45, to ride in trail and please be ready to ride by 8 p.m., though classes will go until everyone rides! The classes will run at the same time, concurrently and in the order as come to the gate. For example, if you wanted to show in amateur and open trail, you will check in at the gate, and you could ride in both classes back to back. We will notify the judge as to what class you are riding in as you go in to ride the trail pattern.
Warm-up will be allowed in the front of the arena until trail classes begin, but you must be warmed up by 8 p.m. to ride. Please pick up the trail pattern from management and walk the pattern without your horse before showing.
Betsy Gouedy is the show coordinator and she will be organizing the volunteer hours for workers for the shows. Remember, a minimum of two (2) hours must be worked by the exhibitor or designated representative to be eligible for year-end awards. This will be enforced and please volunteer early in the show season to ensure that all shows are covered.

THE PURPOSE OF COTTON COUNTRY OPEN HORSE SHOW ASSOCIATION IS TO PROVIDE FUN AND LEARNING COMPETITIVE SHOWS FOR INEXPERIENCED AND EXPERIENCED, NON-PRO AND PRO ALIKE TO ENJOY SHOWING THEIR GRADE AND REGISTERED HORSES.
